What you can sell from your bio
Anything a buyer can download or access after paying works. Start with one product you can already deliver.
- Ebooks and guides as PDF or other files.
- Templates, such as planners and design files.
- Presets for photos, video or audio.
- Online courses, with quizzes, assignments and certificates.
- Lead magnets, which are free downloads that collect an email address.
- Kilat also supports 1:1 bookings and locked content.
Pricing tips
- Price for the result, not the file size. A checklist that saves someone two hours can be worth more than its page count suggests.
- Start with one product and one price. Change it after you see real sales.
- Give a free lead magnet to collect emails, then offer the paid product to those people.
- Run a discount code for a launch week and end it when the week is over.
- Once the main product sells, try an order bump or an upsell at checkout.
- Write the button text as an action, such as Get the template.
Fees and how you get paid
Where you live decides how you get paid. In Indonesia, checkout runs through Mayar. In every country Stripe supports, you connect your own Stripe account.
PRO costs Rp229.000 per month, or Rp1.644.000 per year (Rp137.000 per month). Outside Indonesia it costs US$15 per month, or US$108 per year (US$9 per month). Every new account gets one 14-day PRO trial with no card. When it ends, the account becomes Free and your products keep selling.
What the buyer sees
A buyer taps your product block, lands on your product page at kilat.bio/@username/your-product, pays, and gets the file after paying. If the product is a lead magnet, they enter an email address instead of paying.
How to sell a digital product from your Instagram bio
Set up how you get paid
Open Earnings in the sidebar first. In Indonesia, set up your payout method so you can withdraw. Outside Indonesia, select Connect Stripe on the Get paid with Stripe card.
Start a new product
Open Products and select Create Digital Product. The wizard has three steps: Page Details, Payment & Product, and Advanced Settings.
Fill in Page Details
Add a title, a description and the text for your buy button. All three are required. Upload a cover image so the product page looks finished.
Set the price and upload the file
In Payment & Product, choose the currency, enter the price and upload your file or add a link. The price must be above 0 unless you make the product a lead magnet, and at least one file or link is required.
Check the URL and publish
Advanced Settings holds the page URL slug. Your product page will live at kilat.bio/@username/your-slug. Select Publish when you are ready.
Add the product to your Superlink
Open your Superlink editor, select Add Block, and choose Digital Product from the Kilat Exclusive group. Pick your product from the list and move the block near the top of your page.
Put the link in your Instagram bio
Copy kilat.bio/@username with Share and paste it into Edit profile on Instagram. Before you announce it, open the page on a phone and check the product block, the price and the button.
