What to put on a link in bio
A link in bio page works best when a visitor can see what to do within a few seconds. Decide the one action you want most people to take, and build the page around it.
- One clear primary action. If you sell something, that is the action. If you are growing an audience, it is your email list or your best video.
- About seven links or fewer. Every extra link splits attention.
- The thing you sell goes first. On a phone, many visitors never scroll past the first screen.
- A lead magnet. A free download in exchange for an email address gives you a list you own.
- Labels that say what the visitor gets, such as Get the free checklist, instead of My links.
- Social profiles as small icons through the Social Links block, so they do not compete with your main action.
What the Free plan includes
The Free plan has no time limit. It includes a Superlink link in bio page (two pages) with Kilat branding, unlimited digital products, unlimited online courses, booking event types with Google Calendar sync, locked content, lead magnets, discount codes, checkout and basic analytics.
When you sell, the Kilat fee is 4% on Free and 0% on PRO. Payment processor fees are separate. PRO also removes the Kilat branding and adds a custom domain. It costs Rp229.000 per month, or Rp1.644.000 per year (Rp137.000 per month). Outside Indonesia it costs US$15 per month, or US$108 per year (US$9 per month).
Every new account gets one 14-day PRO trial with no card. When the trial ends, the account becomes Free and your page and products keep working.
Mistakes to avoid
- Too many links. A page with fifteen buttons gives visitors no direction.
- A vague top block. A visitor should know what the first block is without reading anything else.
- Linking only to your social profiles. People already follow you there, so give them something new to click.
- Letting the page go stale. Change the top block whenever your main offer changes.
- Skipping the phone check. Visitors from Instagram and TikTok open your page on a phone, so check it on one before you share it.
- Forgetting to mention it. Put the link in your bio and tell people in your posts that it is there.
How to make a link in bio page on Kilat
Sign up
Go to kilat.bio/register and sign up with your email, or continue with Google.
Pick your @username
Choose your @username on the sign-up form, or during setup if you use Google. It becomes your page address, kilat.bio/@username, and Kilat shows right away if a name is taken. Use lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, at least 3 characters.
Finish the quick setup
After you sign up, Kilat asks a few setup questions about what you create. When it asks what to launch first, choose Superlink. Finishing setup starts your free 14-day PRO trial, with no card.
Add blocks
In the Superlink editor, select Add Block. Link adds a button to any URL, Social Links adds icons for your social profiles, Digital Product adds something you sell, and Newsletter collects email addresses. Put the block you most want clicked at the top of the list.
Pick a theme
Open the Appearance tab and choose Themes. One tap on a theme sets the background, colors, buttons and fonts, and you can change any of them afterward.
Preview and publish
Check the page with Preview, then select Publish. The button changes to Live once your page is public at kilat.bio/@username.
Paste the link into your bio
Copy your link with Share. In Instagram, open Edit profile and add it to the link field. In TikTok, add it to the website field if your account has one, or put it in your bio text.
