The fee difference in rupiah
Kilat Live takes 2% of each tip. Sociabuzz lists a 5% service fee per transaction, and by default the streamer pays it. On Rp1.000.000 in tips, that is Rp20.000 against Rp50.000 before payout fees.
Payout fees come next. Kilat Live charges Rp5.000 per payout. Sociabuzz's TRIBE page lists Rp4.500 to a bank and Rp1.000 to GoPay. If you withdraw everything in one payout, you keep about Rp975.000 on Kilat Live and about Rp945.500 on Sociabuzz to a bank. This assumes the default Sociabuzz setting and the TRIBE page figures, which carry no date.
The percentages are not like for like. Sociabuzz says its 5% covers payment gateway and operating costs. On Kilat Live in Indonesia, supporters see a payment service fee added at checkout, on top of the tip. A Sociabuzz streamer can also switch the 5% to supporters, who then pay an extra 5%.
If you withdraw small amounts often, the flat payout fee matters more than the percentage.
Features side by side
The basics match. Both give you a tip page, an Alert overlay for OBS, Top 10, Recent, Goal, Timer, Wheel, Poll and QR Code widgets, Media Share and text-to-speech. Sociabuzz also lists a Song Share overlay, a Queue overlay and Control Overlay pages. We did not read those in detail.
Kilat Live also includes the following. We did not verify whether Sociabuzz has the same:
- Moderators through their own Kilat account or a private moderator link.
- An approval queue for media, and Safe Mode to stop playback and hold the queue.
- A two-hour Test Mode that runs the full alert flow without real money.
- Four ready templates and a Running Text widget.
- A Discord or custom webhook for every paid tip.
Payments and payouts
On Kilat Live in Indonesia, supporters pay through Mayar with QRIS, e-wallets or virtual accounts, and you withdraw rupiah to a bank or e-wallet. Outside Indonesia, supporters pay by card through Stripe in your Stripe account's currency, and the money goes straight to your Stripe account.
Sociabuzz's payment methods page lists QRIS, e-wallets and bank transfers in Indonesia, plus cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and other methods across many countries. Its withdrawal-limit page lists payout limits in many currencies. For rupiah it lists a Rp25.000 minimum for bank and e-wallet payouts, against Rp50.000 on Kilat Live. An older TRIBE page says Rp50.000, so check your own dashboard.
When Sociabuzz is the better pick
Sociabuzz is the safer choice in these cases:
- Your supporters live in many countries and want to pay with PayPal or local wallets.
- You want a bank payout in a currency its table lists, without setting up your own Stripe account.
- You want a lower minimum payout: Rp25.000 listed, against Rp50.000.
- Your audience already tips you on Sociabuzz and you do not want to ask them to switch.
- You want a platform that has been around longer. Kilat Live is new.
When Kilat Live is the better pick
Kilat Live fits better in these cases:
- You want the lower platform fee: 2% against Sociabuzz's listed 5%.
- You already use Kilat for a Superlink, products or bookings and want one account.
- You live outside Indonesia and want card tips to go straight to your own Stripe account.
- You want moderators, a media approval queue and Safe Mode in the same dashboard.
- You want to start on the Free plan. Kilat Live does not need PRO.
Running both while you test
You can run both at the same time. Add the Kilat Live Alert link as a second Browser Source in OBS, run Test Mode for a few tips, and put both links in your bio while you compare. Test tips run the full alert flow without real money.
Your Kilat Live tip page is at kilat.bio/live/@yourusername. Supporters need the new link, so update your bio, stream description and QR code when you switch.
